Though it is a small country, all these 12 provinces are diverse and all of them have a lot of cultural varieties. Many hotels can be found in these provinces and The Netherlands can be usefully divided into four regions: the West, the North, the East and the South. West is the most dominant and urban area and most of the tourist sights and atraactions are located in this area. North is the least populated area in density and is less attractive to the tourists. East has several forests and historic cities to explore and South is unique with its inherent Catholic culture.
