Spain is a country rich in history with plenty of great cities like Madrid and Barcelona. Barcelona is one of Spain’s major tourist destinations and is Spain’s second largest city, next to Madrid. Sagrada Familia Basilica – is a large, yet incomplete Roman Catholic church. It has yet to be completed because construction is independently funded by donations mostly by tourists. It is a great tourist attraction because of its size and largely unique architecture. It is designed by famous architect Antoni Gaudi whose works can be found all around Barcelona. This church has also been recently consecrated by Pope Benedict XVI in November 2010.
Park Guell – also designed by Gaudi is a beautiful landscaped park with many of Gaudi’s beautiful and unique structures. Not far from many Barcelona hotels, it is a great place to relax for both tourists and locals alike. Other works by Gaudi include the beautiful Moorish Casa Vicens, the La Pedrera and the famous Sagrada Familia.
Poble Espanyol – is an old style Spanish village that takes visitors back in time with its old Spanish-style buildings, special handicrafts and traditional Flamenco shows.
Museu Picasso – is home to many artworks of the famous Spanish abstract painter Pablo Picasso.

Barceloneta Beach – As a coastal city of the Mediterranean, Barcelona is home to many beaches. Barceloneta Beach is known as the world’s best urban beach and ranks number three on the list of Discovery Channel’s ten best beaches in the world. The beach is lined with many shops, restaurants and Barcelona hotels.

Camp Nou – is Europe’s largest stadium owned by famous sports club FC Barcelona. It has been used in the 1992 Olympics and many other major sporting events.
